Our lettings business has been a journey of discovery and we have learnt many things along the way, which we can now share with you. We partner with The Letting Partnership (TLP) in Worthing and we use them to underwite and process all tenant applications. TLP were winners of The Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2021 and it is a partnership that has worked well for our business, our landlords and our tenants over the last 11 years.

If you are a mortgage broker, with a buy-to-let customers base, we can help you set up a lettings business. To some extent being a lettings agent is the same as being a mortgage broker. It is a regulated industry (you will need Client Money Protection, Professional Indemnity Insurance and membership of a professional redress scheme), we are members of the Property Ombudsman. But it is, as with being a mortgage broker, a very rewarding industry. You are always helping people to find a home.

As you get established you will need your own local relationships with reputable builders, plumbers and handypeople etc and we can show you how their invoices are settled from rentflow. You will need to manage check in and check out inventories and deposits, which will need to be lodged with a Government approved scheme. We use the TDS scheme.

Before tenants are given keys we pretty much put them through the same underwriting it takes to get a mortgage. Onces tenants are in they pay their rent on time, look after the property and make excellent tenants. It is a system that works well for us and we will be happy to share our knowledge and be happy to help you.
